no, we keep the ais turned on unless we’re in a marina. we are now about 30 miles east of ft. myers on the caloosahatchee river and there are no ais repeaters in this area to report our signal to marinetraffic.com. we dont use the matinetraffic reporting app very often as it is redundant with the real ais, althouth it would provide our location to MT here where there are no repeager stations.
